The Art Bus is a new and exciting project from ANCA Inc.

Once a Transport Canberra workhorse now retired and retrofit into a contemporary gallery space exhibiting and travelling around the A.C.T. Come find us and say hello!

Dionisia Salas | Heartbeat
City Walk

Dionisia Salas’ exhibition will be an analysis of traditional European wall paper through a contemporary lense, utilizing collage, printmedia and paint.

The free workshops that accompany this exhibition will be an exploration of collage, with participants generating their own material on site using spirographs, frotage and other mark making fun.

Tom Buckland | Work, Lovelife, Miscellaneous
Civic Square

Musing upon the many absurd complexities of modern life, Canberra artist, inventor and birdwatcher Tom Buckland presents a bus load of weird and humorous interactive sculpture all constructed from household detritus and found objects.

Canberra artist, inventor and birdwatcher Tom Buckland will teach you for free to use recycled cardboard to create beautiful three-dimensional birds. All ages are welcome, build beautiful cardboard cockatoos, cassowaries and kookaburras. The sky is the limit!

As part of each of these artist’s exhibitions in the Art Bus, they will be accompanied by a set of weekend drop in workshops, 2pm – 3pm on Saturdays and 2pm – 4pm on Sundays, aimed at all ages.

This exciting venture is still in its early stages, but please keep your eyes on the ANCA facebook and instagram page for updates as the Art Bus comes to life!
