Happy Birthday Comics
Trouble turned 15 in April 2019, and for our birthday issue we wanted to thank by way of featuring some of our past comic contributors, who have been a highlight for us throughout the years. Many of these beautiful and clever people have gone on to busy careers doing just what they love – being creative and making creative things. Jase Harper is doing all kinds of cool stuff now, like band posters and album covers, beer labels and t-shirts. Darby Hudson has illustrated for Meanjin and The Chaser, and been published in Best Australian Poems (Black Inc Books). Darby also has two books – Picture Songs and the wonderful Walk – out now. And Hannah Mancini, who sent us those lovely, gentle adventures of Binky, a socially anxious bunny, from 2008 to 2010, has her own creative label nowadays called Hannakin. Our most regular contributors – Mandy Ord and Ive Sorocuk – get their own special write-ups here and here. Thank you all for the laughs, for your brilliant content and for your generosity.
